Asolo is a small town in the province of Treviso in Veneto, and is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
It rises at the beginning of the Belluno Pre-Alps at an altitude of about 100 meters above sea level.
The historical period of maximum splendor came under the dominion of the Serenissima Republic of Venice. In particular, in 1489 Catherine Cornero, former Queen of Cyprus lived in the castle accompanied by a court of artists and poets.
Important buildings are the Rocca (castle) dating from the twelfth century, the Castle of Catherine Cornero, the Roman aqueduct.
Important is also the Collegiate attached to Cathedral and the Palace of Reason (Ragione).
